Regular Season Round 8: TU/Rock - Audentese/N. 121-61

Alexela KML top team - TU/Rock (7-5) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Audentese/N. (0-3) in Tartu 121-61. The game without a history. TU/Rock led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Audentese/N.'s 26. TU/Rock forced 23 Audentese/N. turnovers and outrebounded them 42-27 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Audentese/N.'s players. The winners were led by guard Kent-Kaarel Vene (197-94) who scored that evening 19 points and 8 rebounds and Lithuanian center Karolis Petrukonis (212-87, college: Clemson) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four TU/Rock players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by forward Karl-Robin Jurjens (202-96) did not help to save the game for Audentese/N.. point guard Siim-Markus Post (182-97) added 10 points and 4 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TU/Rock maintains first position with 7-5 record. Newly promoted Audentese/N. still closes the standings with three games lost. TU/Rock will meet TYCO Rapla (#4) on the road in the next round. Audentese/N.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tallinn TTU.
