There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Rasai (7-7) beat on the road 8th ranked Palanga (7-7) 78-71 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was guard Giedrius Kurtinaitis (195-86) who scored 18 points and 5 assists. Center Karolis Guscikas (205-92) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Center Adomas Drungilas (204-90) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Caleb Sutton (198-90, college: Judson) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rasai moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Zalgiris II and Palanga. Rasai will meet at home league's leader Ezerunas-Karys in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Palanga will play against Trakai (#3) and hope to secure a win.
