The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Kyoto Hannar. (11-2) in Mikawa on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (9-2) 76-65. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Kyoto Hannar.. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Mo Charlo (203-83, college: Nevada) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Ryan Forehan-Kelly (196-80, college: California) scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hamamatsu Phoenix maintains second place with 9-2 record having five points less than leader Kyoto Hannar. Kyoto Hannar. at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Akita NH.
