We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifteenth ranked Sevilla (2-5) won against 14th ranked Asefa Estudiantes (2-5) in Madrid 82-65 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 17 points. It was an exceptional evening for Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (211-95) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Alex Urtasun (193-84) accounted for 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. International forward Nacho Martin (203-83) came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American forward Diamon Simpson (201-87, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 10 points respectively for Asefa Estudiantes in the defeat. Sevilla moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Estudiantes. Sevilla will meet at home league's leader Real Madrid in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Asefa Estudiantes will play against CAI Zaragoza (#6) and hope to secure a win.
