Regular Season Round 7: Wilki Morskie - Energa Czarni 94-101 OT

Wilki Morskie (#12) forced the game against Energa Czarni (#7) into an overtime, but lost by seven points 94-101 on Wednesday night. The game took place in Szczecin. But the guests from Slupsk were better at the end. The guests were tied at the half and again at the end of regular time. But they managed to win overtime period 18-11. Energa Czarni made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for center Callistus Eziukwu (208-85, college: Grand Valley St.) who led the winners and scored 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). point guard William Franklin (184-85, college: Bradley, agency: 011 Sports) accounted for 11 points and 12 assists for the winning side. point guard Trevor Releford (183-91, college: Alabama) came up with 27 points and 6 assists and center Darrell Harris (205-84, college: Rhode Island) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Wilki Morskie in the defeat. Five Energa Czarni and four Wilki Morskie players scored in double figures. Wilki Morskie's coach Krzysztof Koziorowicz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Energa Czarni (4-3) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Stelmet ZG and Asseco. Newly promoted Wilki Morskie keeps the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with Wikana-Start. Energa Czarni will meet at home Trefl (#9) in the next round. Wilki Morskie will play against Stabill Jezioro in Tarnobrzeg and hope to secure a win.
