There was a minor upset in Fos-sur-Mer where 15th ranked Angers BC (1-6) was defeated by seventeenth ranked Fos Ouest (2-6) 79-62 on Friday. The game without a history. Fos Ouest led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Angers BC's 36. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import Amadi McKenzie (201-86, college: Tenn Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Fos Ouest players scored in double figures. Power forward Julien Bestron (205-86) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American Richie Gordon (203-89, college: W.Carolina) scored 14 points. Angers BC's coach Vincent Lavandier rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Fos Ouest moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Maurienne and Souffel. Angers BC lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventeenth position with six games lost. Fos Ouest will face higher ranked Nantes (#12) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Angers BC will play against Lille Metropole (#11) and hope to win that game.
