The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kumanovo 2009 as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kumanovo 2009 defeated bottom-ranked V.Lisici at home 80-68. The game was mostly controlled by Kumanovo 2009. V.Lisici managed to win fourth quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian point guard Sasa Avramovic (193-93, agency: Beo Basket) fired 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. The former international guard Aleksandar Kostoski (186-88, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 18 points. Four Kumanovo 2009 players scored in double figures. Swingman Aleksandar Stefanovski (200-87) produced 22 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian Petar Nikolic (-93) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kumanovo 2009 have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted V.Lisici still closes the standings with seven games lost. V.Lisici will play next round against strong Feni Indistrija trying to get back on the winning streak. Kumanovo 2009 will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Rabotnicki in Skopje.
