Regular Season Round 7: IMOS Brno - Nymburk 63-60

The most exciting game of round 7 in the ZBL took place in Brno. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Nymburk (5-2) to third ranked IMOS Brno (5-2) 63-60 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nymburk. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. International forward Michaela Stejskalova (186-87) fired 26 points for the winners. Center Aneta Mainclova (191-96) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American power forward Jacinta Monroe (193-88, college: Florida St.) produced 9 points and 13 rebounds and Bahamas center Waltiea Rolle (198-90, college: N.Carolina) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Nymburk's coach Daniel Kurucz tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. IMOS Brno moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Nymburk. IMOS Brno is looking forward to face SBS Ostrava (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nymburk will play against BLK Praha (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
