Regular Season Round 9: Limoges - Bourg 79-70

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Limoges CSP Elite. Limoges CSP Elite defeated 17th ranked JL Bourg at home 79-70. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But JL Bourg won third quarter 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded JL Bourg 46-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. Limoges CSP Elite looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Adrien Moerman (203-88) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds. American guard Jamar Smith (191-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 21 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Steven Smith (203-83, college: La Salle) who recorded 15 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import power forward Devin Booker (203-91, college: Clemson) added 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively. Four JL Bourg players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Limoges CSP Elite (8-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Strasbourg. JL Bourg lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventeenth place with seven games lost. JL Bourg will play next round against JDA Dijon trying to get back on the winning streak. Limoges CSP Elite will try to continue on its current victory against eighteenth ranked SO Maritime Boulogne in Boulogne-sur-Mer.
