Regular Season Round 29: Minnesota T. - Milwaukee B. 86-103

Date: November 26, 2014
Larry Sanders and Brandon Knight each scored 15 points for Milwaukee as the Bucks took down the Minnesota Timberwolves 103-86 on Wednesday at Target Center. Six Bucks players scored in double figures in Wednesday's win, including 13 from forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. Veteran forward Corey Brewer led the young Minnesota squad in scoring with 19 points and added five rebounds in the loss. In the second battle of the season between the top two picks in this year's draft -- Minnesota's Andrew Wiggins and Milwaukee's Jabari Parker -- Parker and the Bucks had the upper hand in this meeting. Though Wiggins outscored Parker, 14-11, it was Parker whose Milwaukee team won the rematch after beating Minnesota 105-98 back on Oct. 17. Neither team led by more than nine points until 4:05 remained in the fourth quarter as the Bucks pulled away thanks in large part to a 19-3 run. Milwaukee outscored Minnesota 31-16 in the fourth quarter, led by 13 points from Knight in the final quarter. Milwaukee took an eight-point lead just 1:52 into the game with an 8-0 run out of the gates. Minnesota cut the Bucks' deficit to 26-24 at the end of the opening quarter and took its first lead of the game on a Chase Budinger 3-pointer early in the second that put the Timberwolves up 33-32. The Bucks took a 51-47 lead into the locker room at halftime, but Minnesota battled back after the break as the teams briefly traded leads. Minnesota dominated the free-throw department, shooting 34 free throws to Milwaukee's 19. But the Timberwolves struggled at the line, making just 21 of those 34 attempts. The Bucks converted on 18-of-19 free throws. Knight was 8-of-8 from the line, all of which came in the fourth quarter. The Timberwolves were down to just one point guard Wednesday as Mo Williams was sidelined due to illness. That meant rookie Zach LaVine got the start, his fifth of the season. LaVine handled his extended playing time just fine, scoring 12 points while dishing out four assists. Courtesy of: ktvz.com
