Regular Season Round 7: Nancy - Virtus Acea 64-76

The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Italian Acea's (6-1) road victory over their biggest opponent French Sluc Nancy (4-3) 76-64 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back winning next two quarters and won the game by 12 points. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Kyle Gibson (196-87, college: Louisiana Tech) contributed with 18 points (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Four Acea players scored in double figures. Mali-French forward Bandja Sy (204-90, college: N.Mexico St., agency: Comsport) answered with 18 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American forward Randal Falker (201-85, college: S.Illinois) added 4 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Sluc Nancy. Sluc Nancy's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Acea have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group C with 6-1 record. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Acea will face Sevilla (#4) on the road in the next round. Sluc Nancy will play against EWE Baskets in Oldenburg and hope to win that game.
