Third-ranked BC Rakvere (6-4) made lots of trouble for first ranked TU/Rock (10-5) in Tartu on Friday. TU/Rock managed to secure only eight-point victory 93-85. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BC Rakvere. The hosts trailed by 13 points after three quarters before their 27-14 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 8-point victory in overtime. BC Rakvere was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international Janar Talts (205-83) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Tanel Kurbas (197-88) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (188-87, college: S.Carolina) produced 38 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and international point guard Sten-Timmu Sokk (183-89) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Five TU/Rock and four BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. TU/Rock have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-5 record. BC Rakvere at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
