There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Shiga L-Stars (10-3) were defeated at home by fifth ranked Aomori Watts (10-7) 93-86 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 15-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-86. Aomori Watts made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Aomori Watts had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Paul Williams (208-83, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: I.D.S. Law) who scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Kenichi Takahashi (181-80) chipped in 24 points and 6 assists.
