There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked Tuscany Pistoia (3-5) won against at home 11th ranked Acea (3-5) 94-84 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Tuscany Pistoia. Acea was better in third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard C.J. Williams (196-90, college: N.Carolina St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points. The other American import forward Landon Milbourne (201-87, college: Maryland) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American-Guinean forward Robert Jones (201-84, college: Washington) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian-Nigerian forward Melvin Ejim (198-91, college: Iowa St.) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Acea. Four Tuscany Pistoia and five Acea players scored in double figures. Tuscany Pistoia moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Virtus Acea and Upea CdO. Tuscany Pistoia will face higher ranked AV Cantu (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
