Regular Season Round 34: Chicago B. - Dallas M. 129-132 OT

Date: December 2, 2014
Monta Ellis poured in a season-high 38 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer in the final minute of the second extra period, as visiting Dallas survived for its fourth straight win. Chandler Parsons finished with 24 points and made two key free throws to help seal it, and Dirk Nowitzki endured a poor shooting night to collect 22 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds for the Mavericks. Devin Harris added 20 points and eight assists and fellow reserve J.J. Barea chipped in 13 points in 13 minutes for Dallas, which has won 10 of 12. Pau Gasol racked up 29 points and 14 rebounds and Jimmy Butler added 23 points, eight boards and seven assists for the Bulls. Derrick Rose had 18 points and 10 assists and banked in a 3-pointer to force the second overtime, but he misfired on 3-pointers at the end of regulation and the end of the game. Harris hit back-to-back 3-pointers to cap a 14-0 run as Dallas pulled out to a 42-30 lead with 8:07 left in the first half, and the Mavericks maintained the margin to take a 59-47 halftime lead. Rose knocked down a pair of 3-pointers during a 14-2 burst to open the third quarter, and it was tied at 65 when Parsons scored five straight points to set off an 11-0 Dallas run, but the Bulls crept within 80-74 entering the fourth. Harris and Richard Jefferson hit 3-pointers to push it back to double digits in the opening minute of the period before Chicago reeled off a 12-0 run over a span of four-plus minutes to open a 102-96 lead. The Mavericks chipped away, but Gasol hit a pair of free throws with four seconds left to make it a three-point game before Kirk Hinrich fouled Ellis shooting a 3 and he knocked down all three foul shots to force overtime.
