Regular Season Round 12: CFBB - Challans 58-72

Date: December 2, 2014
Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-11) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to seventh ranked Vendee Challans (7-5) 72-58 on Tuesday evening. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Vendee Challans made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Bahamas power forward Lavar Simmons (201-83, college: Master's) who scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Emmanuel Monceau (195-95) chipped in 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). At the other side the best for losing team was Stephane Gombauld (203-97) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Bathiste Tchouaffe (195-98) added 12 points respectively. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vendee Challans have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Vichy. Loser CFBB still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Vendee Challans will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. CFBB will play against JA Vichy (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
