Iskra Svit (#4) was upset in Levice by eighth ranked Levice 90-81. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Iskra Svit won third quarter 23-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Iskra Svit 47-25 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Serbian point guard Luka Igrutinovic (193-92) notched 21 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and American swingman Malik Story (196-90, college: Nevada, agency: Two Points) supported him with 29 points and 6 rebounds. Even 23 points and 4 steals by American guard Lakeem Jackson (196-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Iskra Svit. His fellow American import guard Chris Fouch (188, college: Drexel) added 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Levice (7-10) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with B.Bystrica. Iskra Svit at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Levice will play against higher ranked Prievidza (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Iskra Svit will play against the league's leader Inter Bratislava and hopes to get back on the winning track.
