Regular Season Round 18: MMCITE Brno - USK Praha 80-74

Bottom-ranked MMCITE Brno managed to get a third victory, breaking the six-game losing streak. This time they won against tenth-ranked USK Praha 80-74. It looked good early as USK Praha took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then MMCITE Brno had a 23-14 second period charge getting the lead and USK Praha was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-80. MMCITE Brno made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by USK Praha helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Jakub Krakovic (205-90) who scored 19 points. The former international guard Ondrej Dygryn (190-84) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five MMCITE Brno players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Slovenian center Matej Krusic (211-87) who recorded 29 points and 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and point guard Lukas Festr (185-94) added 14 points and 7 assists respectively. USK Praha's coach Mirsad Alilovic let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. MMCITE Brno maintains twelfth position with 3-14 record. USK Praha at the other side keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. MMCITE Brno's next round opponent will be higher ranked NH Ostrava (#7) at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
