Regular Season Round 18: BK Pardubice - BK Kolin 66-64

Eleventh-ranked BK Kolin (5-12) was very close to win a game against third ranked BK Pardubice (12-5) on Wednesday. BK Pardubice managed to secure only two-point victory 66-64. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 66-64. It was a good game for Slovakian Dusan Pandula (196-84) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Viktor Pulpan (190-96) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four BK Pardubice players scored in double figures. American forward Richard Field (196-85, college: Mercyhurst) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and forward David Machac (205-80) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for BK Kolin. BK Kolin's coach Predrag Benacek gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. BK Pardubice moved-up to second place. Loser BK Kolin keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. BK Pardubice will face BK Usti nad Labem (#5) on the road in the next round. BK Kolin will play against the league's leader BK Decin (#1) and hope to win that game.
