No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Keflavik (5-4) defeated at home 10th ranked Grindavik (2-7) 96-84 on Thursday. The game without a history. Keflavik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Keflavik forced 21 Grindavik turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international forward Throstur Johannsson (198-89) stepped up and scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and guard Gudmundur Jonsson (191-84) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
