Regular Season Round 19: Trakai - Suduva-Mantinga 70-79

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Suduva-Mantinga (11-8) beat on the road 4th placed Trakai (12-7) 79-70 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Trakai won third quarter 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Trakai 47-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. Trakai was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for forward Paulius Petrilevicius (201-91) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Marius Valukonis (198-88) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Dovis Bickauskis (188-93) answered with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Karolis Brusokas (200-91) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Trakai. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Suduva-Mantinga moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Delikatesas. Loser Trakai keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Suduva-Mantinga will face Rasai (#8) in the next round. Trakai will play against Silute (#12) and hope to win that game.
