The game in was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Petrochema (13-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Rasai (9-10). Petrochema defeated Rasai 91-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rasai. The game was mostly controlled by Petrochema. Rasai was better in third quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Petrochema players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Tadas Sebeziovas (185-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Henrikas Vorotnikovas (203-90) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side forward Valdemaras Savostjanovas (200-84) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and center Karolis Guscikas (205-92) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Petrochema. They maintain third place with 13-6 record having just two points less than leader Ezerunas-Karys. Newly promoted Rasai keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Petrochema will play against bottom-ranked JAZZ-Diremta (#14) in Kaunas in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Rasai will play on the road against Suduva-Mantinga (#5) in Marijampole and hopes to get back on the winning track.
