No shocking result in a game in Paks where third ranked Atomeromu (8-2) defeated 5th ranked Alba (5-4) 74-68 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Alba won third quarter 14-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Atomeromu won last quarter 19-14. Atomeromu outrebounded Alba 37-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for naturalized American power forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. American point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) helped adding 11 points and 4 assists. American guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian power forward Dalibor Djapa (205-84, agency: 011 Sports) scored 14 points. Atomeromu maintains third place with 8-2 record behind leader Sopron KC. Loser Alba dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Atomeromu will meet ZTE KK (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alba will play against Marso NYKK (#10) and hope to secure a win.
