Regular Season Round 11: Kaposvari - PVSK Pannon 76-73

The most exciting game of round 11 in the A Division took place in Kaposvar. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked PVSK Pannon (4-6) to sixth ranked Kaposvari (6-4) 76-73 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 20 points after three quarters before their 32-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American Nikolas Raivio (193-86, college: Portland) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. The former international power forward Roland Hendlein (204-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Kaposvari players scored in double figures. Kaposvari's coach Adam Fekete used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Anthony Nelson (185-89, college: Niagara) produced 16 points, 9 assists and 4 steals and Croatian forward Veljko Budimir (199-85) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Kaposvari have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. PVSK Pannon lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Kaposvari are looking forward to face higher ranked Falco KC (#4) in Szombathely in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PVSK Pannon will play on the road against MAFC (#9) in Budapest and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
