Canarias has finally registered their first victory this season after eight consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat FC Barcelona II (3-7) 75-58. The game without a history. Canarias led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to FC Barcelona II's 34. Canarias forced 22 FC Barcelona II turnovers. British center Aaron Geramipoor (213-92, college: Seton Hall) notched 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Roberto Guerra (196-83) supported him with 9 points and 7 steals. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by Bosnian-Finnish power forward Emir Sulejmanovic (204-95) did not help to save the game for FC Barcelona II. Xavier Moix (190-95) added 9 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Canarias (1-8) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Araberri and Opentach Pla. FC Barcelona II at the other side keeps the twelfth position with seven games lost. Canarias will play against bottom-ranked Opentach Pla (#15) in Marratxi in the next round.
