Eighth-ranked Jilin Tigers (9-7) made lots of trouble for top-ranked Liaoning Hunters (17-0) in Changchun on Sunday. The visitors from Yingkou managed to secure only two-point victory 87-85. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 27-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Liaoning Hunters outrebounded Jilin Tigers 60-49 including 45 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Jilin Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international center Dejun Han (215-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and Syrian guard Michel Madanly (194-81) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Liaoning Hunters have an impressive 17-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-0 record. Jilin Tigers at the other side dropped to the ninth place with seven games lost. Liaoning Hunters are looking forward to face Shandong Bulls (#11) in Jinan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jilin Tigers will play at home against TianJin Steel and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
