LaMarcus Aldridge collected 23 points and 11 rebounds as visiting Portland handed Detroit its 13th straight loss. Aldridge recorded his sixth straight double-double despite going 8-of-21 from the field for the Trail Blazers, who won their fifth straight game to improve to 17-4. Wesley Matthews scored 19 points while Chris Kaman and Damian Lillard each added 14 for Portland, which made seven of its eight attempts from the foul line. Greg Monroe contributed 22 points and 10 rebounds off the bench for the Pistons, who are one loss shy of matching the franchise record for consecutive defeats. Caron Butler tallied 13 points while Andre Drummond grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds for Detroit, which shot 35.1 percent from the floor. Aldridge knocked down a 3-pointer just before the buzzer sounded to end the first quarter to put the Trail Blazers in front 33-22 and they led by as much as 15 before settling for a 55-46 advantage at intermission. Portland regained control with a 10-2 spurt to pull ahead by 17 and held the Pistons to 16 points in the third quarter to take a 76-62 lead into the final frame. Monroe sparked a 13-0 surge to pull Detroit within four with 7:20 left before Aldridge nailed back-to-back jumpers to give the Trail Blazers some breathing room at 85-77. Spencer Dinwiddie converted a three-point play to cut the deficit to 91-86 before Nicolas Batum hit a clutch three as Portland scored the last seven points of the game to win its seventh in a row on the road.
