Very important is a road loss of third ranked Vivo/Franca (6-4) against fourth ranked Minas (7-3) on Thursday night. Visiting Vivo/Franca was defeated by Minas in Belo Horizonte 83-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vivo/Franca. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Minas. Vivo/Franca was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Minas forced 24 Vivo/Franca turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American guard Robby Collum (185-81, college: W.Michigan) notched 20 points and 8 assists to lead the effort and the former international power forward Shilton Santos (198-82) supported him with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Minas players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by international Leonardo Meindl (201-93) did not help to save the game for Vivo/Franca.
