Second-best Elitzur Ramla (6-3) fell to fifth ranked Bnot Hertzeliya (5-4) in overtime by five points 69-74 on Monday night. The game took place in Ramla. But the guests from Hertzeliya were better at the end. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Elitzur Ramla. Elitzur Ramla was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 10-point lead after three quarters before a 20-10 charge of Bnot Hertzeliya, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 10-5. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for guard Essence Carson (183-86, college: Rutgers) who led her team to a victory with 30 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Guard Chelsea Hopkins (173-90, college: San Diego St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four Bnot Hertzeliya players scored in double figures. Danielle McCray (186-87, college: Kansas) answered with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and forward Natasha Howard (190-91, college: Florida St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 20 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Elitzur Ramla. Elitzur Ramla's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bnot Hertzeliya moved-up to fourth place, which they share with H.R. Le-Zion. Elitzur Ramla at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Bnot Hertzeliya will face bottom-ranked Elitzur Netanya (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Elitzur Ramla will play against Elitzur Holon (#9) and hope to win that game.
