13th ranked Estonian TLU/Kalev (1-8) was outscored at home by eighth ranked Latvian Valmiera (7-2) with the biggest margin this round 90-73. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Valmiera's pressure prevailed and they won that period 33-22 extending their advantage to 17 points. Valmiera outrebounded TLU/Kalev 44-23 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kristaps Dargais (198-90) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Valmiera maintains eighth position with 7-2 record, which they share with Jekabpils. TLU/Kalev lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with eight games lost. Valmiera's next round opponent will be higher ranked Lietkabelis (#7) in Panevezys and it may be quite challenging game. TLU/Kalev will play on the road against Jekabpils (#9) and hope to win that game.
