Regular Season Round 47: Charlotte H. - Phoenix Suns 106-111

Guard Isaiah Thomas came off the bench to score 23 points, and the Phoenix Suns rallied from a 17-point deficit for a 111-106 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night. The Suns outscored the Hornets 10-2 over the final 2:30, with Thomas hitting a jumper with 1:12 left and two key free throws with 19.9 seconds remaining. The run capped a comeback from a 50-33 deficit midway through the second quarter. Phoenix (13-14) snapped a six-game losing streak. The Suns had not won since beating the Mavericks in Dallas on Dec. 5. Suns guard Goran Dragic returned from a two-game absence to score 20 points. Forward Gerald Green added 16, guard Eric Bledsoe 15. Bledsoe's layup with 1:44 left gave Phoenix the lead for good, 105-104. Phoenix forward Markieff Morris picked up two technical fouls and was ejected with 3:50 left in the third quarter. He finished with 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds. The Suns shot 52.4 percent from the field, while the Hornets made 46.5 percent of their shots. Charlotte (6-19) lost its fourth straight and fell for the 14th time in 16 games. Center Al Jefferson led the Hornets with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Kemba Walker scored 27, but he had a critical miss on a drive in the final minute. The Hornets also got 13 points from guard Gary Neal and 10 from guard Brian Roberts. The Hornets led 31-27 after one quarter, then opened the second quarter with a 14-2 spurt to push the margin to 45-29. The lead grew to 50-33 with 7:01 left in the half.
