Regular Season Round 23: Trakai - Zanavykas 94-81

Very expected game when 9th ranked Zanavykas (10-13) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Trakai (15-8) 94-81 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Trakai. Zanavykas was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trakai shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a great evening for guard Dovis Bickauskis (188-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points. Center Ignas Ramasauskas (211-93) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. Trakai's coach Adndrius Slezas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Sarunas Vingelis (191-89) responded with 23 points and guard Paulius Beliavicius (194-88) scored 15 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Trakai moved-up to third place. Loser Zanavykas dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Trakai will face Zalgiris II (#9) in Kaunas in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Zanavykas will play against Rasai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
