No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Oettinger Rockets Gotha (10-5) won against on the road 12th ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (6-9) 64-50 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 14 points. Oettinger Rockets Gotha dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to BV Chemnitz 99's 24. It was a great evening for American center Will Reinke (208-90, college: Oklah.Christian) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Naturalized American point guard Brad Loesing (182-89, college: Wofford) helped adding 14 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Andre Calvin (201-85, college: Drake) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import Levi Knutson (191-88, college: Colorado, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oettinger Rockets Gotha moved-up to second place, which they share with Giessen 46ers and ETB Wohnbau. BV Chemnitz 99 lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. Oettinger Rockets Gotha will face Science City Jena (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BV Chemnitz 99 will play against Giessen 46ers and hope to win that game.
