Regular Season Round 13: Krosno - Pogon Prudnik 79-65

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Krosno as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Krosno defeated 11th ranked Pogon Prudnik at home 79-65. The game was mostly controlled by Krosno. Pogon Prudnik was better in third quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Krosno dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Pogon Prudnik's 26. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Andrzej Misiewicz (199-84, college: Daytona Beach CC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Power forward Marcin Salamonik (202-83) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. Five Krosno players scored in double figures. Artur Grygiel (188-88) answered with 20 points and point guard Krzysztof Chmielarz (180-88) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Pogon Prudnik. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Pogon Prudnik lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth place with nine games lost. Pogon Prudnik will play next round against strong Znicz Basket trying to get back on the winning streak. Krosno will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Legia at Warszawa.
