Regular Season Round 24: NH Ostrava - BK Kolin 88-72

Rather expected game when 10th ranked BK Kolin (6-16) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked NH Ostrava (9-13) 88-72 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by NH Ostrava. BK Kolin managed to win third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded BK Kolin 48-36 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Taylor Rohde (205-90, college: Alaska-Anch.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Fran Dougherty (203, college: Pennsylvania) who added 19 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. NH Ostrava's coach Dusan Medvecky used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international center Ales Chan (215-80, college: Seton Hill) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and center Lukas Horak (203-91) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five NH Ostrava and four BK Kolin players scored in double figures. NH Ostrava moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Svitavy. Loser BK Kolin keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with USK Praha. NH Ostrava will meet league's leader BK Decin on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BK Kolin will play against BK Usti nad Labem (#6) and hope to secure a win.
