Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Znicz Basket (8-6) and Pogon Prudnik (5-9), which took place in Prudnik. Higher ranked Znicz Basket lost to twelfth ranked Pogon Prudnik in a road game 71-89. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Znicz Basket. The game was mostly controlled by Pogon Prudnik. Znicz Basket was better in fourth quarter 15-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pogon Prudnik players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Krzysztof Chmielarz (180-88) who scored 16 points and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pogon Prudnik moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with GKS Tychy. Znicz Basket at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Pogon Prudnik's next round opponent will be higher ranked Zaglebie (#8) in Sosnowiec and it may be quite challenging game. Znicz Basket will play on the road against Legia (#7) in Warszawa and hope to win that game.
