Very important is a home loss of third ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (10-4) against fourth ranked Darussafaka (10-4) on Monday night. Host Fenerbahce Ulker was defeated by Darussafaka in a tough game in Istanbul 91-95. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-17. But Fenerbahce Ulker won second period 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Darussafaka made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Lithuanian Renaldas Seibutis (196-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American Jamon Lukas Gordon (191-84, college: Virginia Tech) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Serbian Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, agency: Interperformances) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and international Emir Preldzic (205-87, agency: Beo Basket) added 15 points and 6 assists in the effort for Fenerbahce Ulker. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Darussafaka moved-up to second place, which they share with Fener.Ulker and Besiktas. Darussafaka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Istanbul BSB.
