No shocking result in a game when second ranked Halcones UV Xalapa (19-5) crushed at home bottom-ranked Barreteros (5-20) 88-59 on Monday. The game without a history. Halcones UV Xalapa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Adrian Henning (203-82, college: Austin Peay St.) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 rebounds. American-FYR Macedonian forward Kennedy Winston (199-84, college: Alabama, agency: Higher Vision Sports) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Halcones UV Xalapa players scored in double figures. American center Jerome Habel (208-85, college: San Diego St.) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Guiressi Grimes (191-88, college: Wash.Adventist) added 10 points in the effort for Barreteros. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Halcones UV Xalapa have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 19-5 record having six points less than leader Halc.Rojos. Barreteros lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom place with 20 games lost. Halcones UV Xalapa will have a break next round. Barreteros will play against Gigantes (#11) in Toluca and hope to win that game.
