Regular Season Round 16: Alba - ZTE KK 98-71
Date: January 7, 2015
Very predictable result in Szekesfehervar where seventh ranked Alba (7-7) smashed bottom-ranked ZTE KK (1-13) 98-71 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Alba led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Alba made 7 blocks. Latvian forward Ernests Kalve (200-87) fired 18 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. American guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Alba players scored in double figures. Alba's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Jozsef Lekli (206-87) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Cole Darling (203-91, college: Wright St., agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Alba moved-up to sixth place, which they share with PVSK Pannon. ZTE KK lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Alba will meet Kormend (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. ZTE KK will play against Falco KC in Szombathely and hope to win that game.
