Regular Season Round 26: BK Pardubice - Prostejov 83-98

The most shocking disappointment of round 26 in the NBL was a home defeat of second-ranked BK Pardubice (17-8) by third ranked Prostejov (18-7) who outscored them by 15 points 98-83 in the game for the second place. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Prostejov. BK Pardubice managed to win second period 31-29. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Prostejov looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Naturalized Slovakian Roman Marko (194-86) scored 21 points, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Dylan Talley (196-89, college: Nebraska) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. Slovakian Dusan Pandula (196-84) responded with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Jiri Soula (185-95) scored 19 points. Five Prostejov and four BK Pardubice players scored in double figures. BK Pardubice's coach Dusan Bohunicky rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Prostejov have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. BK Pardubice at the other side dropped to the third position with eight games lost. Prostejov are looking forward to face CEZ Nymburk (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BK Pardubice will have a break next round.
