Regular Season Round 25: Vilniaus - Trakai 87-75

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Trakai (16-9) against thirteenth ranked Vilniaus (6-19) on Friday night. Visiting Trakai was defeated by Vilniaus in Vilnius 87-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Trakai. The game without a history. Vilniaus led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Vilniaus forced 22 Trakai turnovers. Trakai was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Ignas Dauksys (197-93) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winners and American guard Jermaine Love-Roberts (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side forward Karolis Brusokas (200-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 18 rebounds and American forward Caleb Sutton (198-90, college: Judson) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Newly promoted Vilniaus maintains thirteenth place with 6-19 record. Trakai at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. They share it with Suduva-Mantinga. Vilniaus will play against league's leader Ezerunas-Karys in Moletai in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Trakai will play at home against Nafta-Uni. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
