Very predictable result when seventh ranked Burgos (10-6) outscored on the road 12th ranked Lobe Huesca (5-10) 76-51 on Friday. The game without a history. Burgos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lobe Huesca to just 5 points in third quarter. Burgos dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Lobe Huesca's 34. Burgos forced 22 Lobe Huesca turnovers. American-Cape Verdean point guard Jeffrey Xavier (189-85, college: Providence) stepped up and scored 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and center Sergio Olmos (213-86, college: Temple) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Burgos' coach Andreu Casadevall felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Edgar Vicedo (201-94) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and German guard Sebastian Koch (203-91, college: Elon) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Burgos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Palma and Planasa NV. Lobe Huesca lost fourth consecutive game. Loser Lobe Huesca keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Burgos will meet at home Leyma Basquet (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Lobe Huesca will play against Leche Rio Breogan and hope to secure a win.
