Very expected game in Urumqi where 18th ranked Bayi Rockets (6-24) were crushed by eighth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (20-10) 109-83. The game without a history. Xinjiang Flying Tige led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige forced 20 Bayi Rockets turnovers and outrebounded them 44-25 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Center Wei Liu (210-89) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international guard Shuo Han (196-86) replied with 14 points and 5 assists and the former international center ZhongHao Xu (212-90) added 12 points in the effort for Bayi Rockets. Four Xinjiang Flying Tige and five Bayi Rockets players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Xinjiang Flying Tige moved-up to seventh place. Bayi Rockets at the other side keep the eighteenth position with 24 games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige's next round opponent will be Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#15) in Hangzhou and are hoping to win another game. Bayi Rockets will play at home against the league's leader Liaoning Hunters where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
