Regular Season Round 30: Guangsha L. - Chongqing FD 128-113

Everything went according to plan in Hangzhou where fourth ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (22-8) beat bottom-ranked Chongqing FD (3-27) 128-113. The game was mostly controlled by Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Chongqing FD was better in second period 33-32. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Chongqing FD's players. It was a good game for American power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. The other American import guard Kevin Murphy (196-90, college: Tenn Tech, agency: Priority Sports) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma, agency: Interperformances) replied with 40 points (!!!) and Iranian Arsalan Kazemi (200-90, college: Oregon) added 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Chongqing FD. Five Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and four Chongqing FD players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 22-8 record, which they share with Beijing Ducks. Chongqing FD lost sixteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 27 lost games. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' next round opponent will be Shanxi Zhongyu (#6) in Taiyuan. Chongqing FD will play at home against Beijing Ducks (#5) and hope to win that game.
