An interesting game for Northland (12-1) which hosted in Lulea 4th placed Mark Basket (7-6). Second ranked Northland had an easy win 72-54. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-54. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Anna Barthold (185-80, college: St.Peter's) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Katie Bussey (175-90, college: Montana St., agency: LBM Management) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Northland players scored in double figures. Forward Elin Ljunggren (184-96) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Jasmine Thomas (170-91, college: Michigan St.) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Mark Basket. Northland have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 12-1 record behind leader Umea. Mark Basket at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Northland are looking forward to face Akropol (#10) in Spanga in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mark Basket will play on the road against Solna Vikings (#12) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
