Regular Season Round 12: Cegledi EKK - PINKK-Pecsi 64-75

The game in Cegled was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked PINKK-Pecsi (8-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Cegledi EKK (4-7). PINKK-Pecsi defeated Cegledi EKK 75-64 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cegledi EKK. The game was mostly controlled by PINKK-Pecsi. Cegledi EKK was better in fourth quarter 21-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jamierra Faulkner (168-92, college: S.Mississippi) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and American-Swedish guard Ashley Key (177-85, college: N.Carolina St.) who added 24 points during the contest. PINKK-Pecsi's coach Roberto Hernandez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89, agency: IPSA) with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Cintia Kobolak (187-91) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Cegledi EKK players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Loser Cegledi EKK keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. PINKK-Pecsi will face Atomeromu (#8) in Szekszard in the next round where they are favorite. Cegledi EKK will play on the road against the league's leader MKB Euroleasing in Sopron and hope to win that game.
