There was an upset when higher ranked Yesilgiresun (8-8) lost to thirteenth ranked ITU Istanbul (6-10) in Giresun 59-77 on Saturday. The game without a history. ITU Istanbul led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. ITU Istanbul had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for ITU Istanbul especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. It was a very good performance for American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Onur Sonsirma (190-85, agency: 1x1 Sports) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Five ITU Istanbul players scored in double figures. American guard Ramel Bradley (188-85, college: Kentucky) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Yunus Cankaya (199-85) added 10 points in the effort for Yesilgiresun. Yesilgiresun's coach Burak Biyiktay let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. ITU Istanbul have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Final Genclik. Loser Yesilgiresun keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. ITU Istanbul will face Mamak DSI (#14) in Ankara in the next round.
