Rather expected game when bottom-ranked Pabellon Ourense (0-9) lost on the road to tenth ranked Oviedo (2-7) 74-56 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-56. Oviedo forced 19 Pabellon Ourense turnovers and outrebounded them 41-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for naturalized Argentinian Ines Orselli (-93) who led her team to a victory with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Marina Vilella (185-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Oviedo players scored in double figures. Center Meritxell Bellido (183-85) answered with 23 points and 8 rebounds and Arantxa Mallou (181-91) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Pabellon Ourense. Oviedo maintains tenth place in Group A with 2-7 record. Pabellon Ourense lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. Oviedo will face higher ranked Real Celta Vigo (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pabellon Ourense will play against Araski AES (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
