The game in Burgas supposed to be also worth to mention about. Seventh ranked Yambol (5-7) played at the court of 8th ranked Chernomorets (1-10). Yambol smashed Chernomorets 85-63. It looked good early as Chernomorets took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Yambol had a 33-16 second period charge getting the lead and Chernomorets was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-85. Yambol forced 24 Chernomorets turnovers. American point guard Tyler Laser (185-88, college: E.Illinois) nailed 17 points and 4 assists for the winning side and Croatian forward Toni Brnas (201-91) accounted for 13 points and 4 steals. Four Yambol players scored in double figures. Serbian center Dejan Bjelic (209-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and forward Lyuben Paskov (197-90) added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Chernomorets in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Yambol moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Beroe. Chernomorets lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Yambol's next round opponent will be higher ranked Cherno More (#5) in Varna and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chernomorets will play on the road against the league's second-placed Balkan in Botevgrad and hope to win that game.
