Istanbul DSI was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 31-15 charge of Mersin, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American-Lebanese swingman Antwain Barbour (196-82, college: Kentucky, agency: Three Eye Sports) who scored that evening 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Henry Antwan Dobie (183-78, college: LIU Brooklyn) supported him with 21 points and 9 assists. Even a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds by Czech Kamil Svrdlik (205-86, college: Fair Dickinson) did not help to save the game for Istanbul DSI. Guard Barkin Haluk Cinar (193-83) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Four Mersin and five Istanbul DSI players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mersin maintains eighteenth position with 3-13 record. Mersin will meet at home higher ranked Adanaspor (#8) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
